EOC is an 8 week program designed to systematically wean you off of sugar, processed foods and dairy so that you can better understand the effect that these foods have on your body. As you eliminate harmful and problematic foods from your diet, you will notice positive changes in your energy level, sleep, and overall well being. By the end of the program you will have a deeper understanding of the physiological effects of our food choices as well as the role our brains play in driving them. Your body knows exactly what it needs to thrive. In EOC you will learn how to listen to what your body is telling you, and as a result your relationship with food will evolve.

Group meets weekly beginning Wednesday, January 29th. Space is limited so sign up now before it’s too late.

Ghosh Immersion Weekend

We are always practicing something. Often we are building bad habits that we don't realize and moving farther away from the goals of our practice. In this workshop, we refine the basics of our practice to make sure we are on the right path. We will look into how to practice for maximum gain. After talking about practice techniques, we will focus on how to breathe correctly and how to correctly use our muscles. You will leave with your postures feeling easier, a better understanding of where to focus your effort and with an understanding of how to make progress. This workshop will include a lecture, a chance for questions and a full practice. All levels.

Tuesday Night Yin with Andrea

Tuesday Night Yin with Andrea

Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement.
We invite you to consider the three tenets of Yin Yoga: find your edge where you can feel the stretch but without straining; remain still; and allow yourself to stay for a while  It’s a simple practice with profound therapeutic benefits for longevity, vitality, flexibility, and more.

If flexibility is your concern this is the class that will give you a full body stretch from shoulders to toes.  Perfect as a compliment to a power class, or any type of physical exertion.  Yin will get you grounded, relaxed, and ready for the best sleep of your week.

Catherine's Mythologies of Yoga Series continues: Hanumanasana aka Monkey pose!

Myths of the yoga poses: a 10 week series

Join Cat in a weekly hot vinyasa flow where we explore the mythology behind some of our favorite yoga poses. Rooted in Hindu mythology, Tantric spirituality, New Age psychology, and Eastern-meets-Western imagination, exploring the stories behind the asanas we regularly practice can deepen our experience on the mat, as we start to understand the "why" behind the poses of this special practice. Come for mythological stories of heroism, intrigue, love, and loss, and stay for the sweat and community we create on our mats here at Eclipse.

Next up 1/14: Hanumanasana aka Monkey pose!
