Marleen Dhoore

Marleen came to the U.S. from Belgium at the age of 18 as an exchange student which is when she discovered her love running.  She brought her love of distance running with her back home to Belgium, where she continued logging miles as she tried to find her career path. As a runner she began to experience some of the injuries so common in running and realized that she wanted to help people who were also being forced to hold back on the thing they love due to injury. She eventually earned a degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Leuven and began working in the trauma unit there, a job which she loved and thrived at.

Since then, Marleen has raised five kids and lived all over the world. Along the way Marleen introduced massage into her treatment repertoire and has found a tremendous amount of satisfaction in being able to help people with their injuries and help improve their overall wellbeing beyond the clinical setting.

Since settling in the US in 2002,  Marleen has focused her attention on massage therapy and bodywork. She is licensed in PA, NJ and Florida and continues to enjoy working with clients to overcome their physical restrictions and bring healing and relief to stressed and injured bodies.  Because of her training in Physical Therapy, and her personal experience as an amateur athlete, Marleen has an exquisite understanding of the body; she has an innate understanding of where the body holds tension, how that tension originated, and the degree of injury involved. Since joining us as Eclipse we have seen client after client walk out of the massage room in a state of total ease and relaxation, marveling that they just got the best massage they’ve ever had in their life.

Marleen is constantly learning and seeking to expand her knowledge of human physiology and to advance her therapeutic skills in order to better and more completely serve her clients. We are thrilled to be partnering with Marleen to bring our yogis her therapeutic touch.
